It
was pretty fun. DC tends to do more adult focused animated movies where
you can tell they're more for the YA (18 to 25) audience, but they
still clearly try to keep the older DC fans happy too. So far, I think
it's worked well as I'm (as an older viewer) usually pretty happy with
the end result, "Assault on Arkham" & "Batman Red Hood" being some
of my favourites.
This film feels like it's aimed at everyone, usually I'd find that to be a bad thing but somehow it works okay here. There's blood, but not too much, some of the jokes are mature, but they're few and far yet still enough that you can laugh at them. Some of the other jokes are childish and definitely fall in line for a young audience, but separated enough that they don't bother me.
To put it simply, if you're between the ages 3 & 49 & enjoy comic book movies then there's something here for you. It's not amazing, but it's a bit of fun that won't leave you disappointed. I'd definitely recommend a watch at least once especially if you're a DC fan, but even more so if you have kids that are 3 and up so they can enjoy this with you.
